Supreme court is hearing the different voices on Gay marriages. There are two groups who oppose and suppose these marriages. The decision has to be taken whether they has to be approved or rejected.
Some of the arguments in the court for these marriages by two groups are:
Group 1: Marriage is made for procreation
Group 2: Lots of couple are there without children
Group 1: If marriage is only for procreation then “Is law banned marriage after the age of 55?”
Group 2: If one is efficient there is a chance of getting child.
According to the history, marriage is the act between man and woman and not between the same sex. In the constitution there is a fundamental right of marriage which has to be respected by us.
According to the Defence Of Marriage Act (DOMA) 1996, marriage of same sex is illegal and there will no benefits for them.
One side arguments are going on inside the court and out of the court there are rallies going on by the supporters and opponents of these marriages to voice their views.
The HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN, a leading gay advocacy group raise their voices in support of the gay marriages to extend rights to gay and lesbian groups.
The NATIONAL ORGANIZATION FOR MARRIAGE, oppose extending marriage rights to same sex couples.
Thousands of activists on both sides of the gay marriages are poised rallies outside the court. Inside the judge is hearing different voices in the court which opposes and supposing the marriages.
Some of the views of persons outside the court are:
Jan Finkenbinder came to the steps of the Supreme Court wearing the dress uniform from the Army that discharged him after he said he was gay.
John Lewis and Stuart Gaffney donned the black tuxedos and bright blue ties they wore for their 2008 marriage in California.
Carmen Guzman came bearing tearful memories of a step-parent who called her a deviant when she came out, and high school classmates who sneaked up behind her and pushed her down the stairs.
The Supreme Court, hearing arguments emotionally on the charged issue of gay marriage for the first time, appeared willing Tuesday to restore marital rights to gays and lesbians in California but uncomfortable with legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide.
Senators made a support voice for these marriages. If both love each other why there is a restriction to marry.
Hope this made a justice to the gay marriages and also without discriminating the opponents.
