The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of Badminton. It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation with nine member nations. Later it has expanded to 169 member nations through out the world. On September 24 2006, it was decided to adopt the new name Badminton World Federation. Its head office is located at Kaula lampur and the current president is Kang Young-Joong.

In 2008 she won Gold medal in Women's single badminton in worlds championship held at India.
In 2010 she won Gold medal in Women's single badminton in common wealth games held at Delhi, and bronze medal in Women's single badminton in Asian championship held at New Delhi.
In 2012 she won bronze medal in Women's single badminton in Olympics held at London.
